From a shed at the bottom of my garden in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, I spend hours immersed in all things clay, forgetting the outside world. Searching for the perfect finish is my mission and an obsession - it's a bit like alchemy. Inspired by coastal, horticultural and Japanese influences, my boxes are hand-built from porcelain slabs and decorated using a variety of techniques including inlay, sgraffito, incising and metal lustre painting. Transforming a malleable lump of clay into a range of delicate contemporary tableware, wall pieces and jewellery, is my passion.
